Dealz Infrastructure Separation & Technology Independence

On time, zero disruption, across a 3-way separation

INFRASTRUCTURE SEPARATION · DISCOVERY TO DELIVERY

As part of Pepco Group’s wider Technology Independence
programme, Dealz needed to execute a complex technical
separation from the Poundland organisation.

The Challenge

Dealz was heavily dependent on Poundland for core infrastructure and
operational technology — hosting, networks, identity, and end-user services —
creating operational risk, cost opacity, and limited autonomy. There was no
validated future-state architecture, limited internal capability to run a complex
multi-party separation, and multiple stakeholders across Dealz, Pepco, and
Poundland with competing priorities.

What Enably Did

Enably was engaged to run the programme end-to-end, taking full
accountability for discovery, planning, and governance. We established the
programme governance model — planning, reporting, RAID management, and
decision cadence — and led a structured discovery across every critical
technology domain. Through stakeholder workshops and technical validation,
we defined an agreed future-state architecture balancing speed, cost, and
operational resilience, then translated it into a phased, executable delivery
roadmap with timelines, resourcing, and cost models.

The Outcome

Delivered on time and in line with the agreed plan, with no material issues
or unplanned disruption to business operations
Strong governance and control maintained across Dealz, Pepco, Poundland,
and third-party suppliers
A validated and approved roadmap to full technology independence
Improved confidence in delivery timelines, costs, and partner capability
