100+ diagnostic questions, one governance framework
COE & GOVERNANCE DIAGNOSTIC · GLOBAL NETWORK
A diagnostic-led engagement to design the operating model,
governance framework, and capability roadmap needed to scale
automation and AI with control — for a UK member firm of a global
professional services network.
The Challenge
Automation maturity varied widely across business units — some teams ready
to scale, others cautious. There was no consolidated demand pipeline, with
spreadsheet tracking becoming a growing data quality problem. Governance,
security, and architecture standards had been bolted on after scale rather than
designed in from day one, and agentic AI was expanding faster than any
framework existed for agent identity, tool exposure, or audit.
What Enably Did
We ran themed diagnostic workshops — over 100 questions across six themes
covering operating model, governance, demand, prioritisation, and capability —
to establish a clear picture of where the firm stood. From there, we designed a
recommended operating model (weighing Centralised, Federated, and Hybrid
approaches against the firm’s regulatory and funding context), a governance
framework covering standards, security tiers, access control, and agentic/MCP
governance, and a phased capability roadmap with explicit migration triggers.
The Outcome
- A validated operating model recommendation matched to the firm’s
- regulation, funding, and maturity
- A governance framework covering standards, security tiers, and access
- control — with agentic AI governance built in from day one
- A phased roadmap (Construct → Gap Closure → Target) giving leadership a
- clear, sequenced path to scale
- A firm-wide view of automation demand, replacing informal spreadsheet
- tracking
